It belongs to the Aloe-species, they can be used for the inside and outside implementation, beside this there are among other things also cap-Aloe (aloe ferrox), Barbados-Aloe, Socotra-Aloe, Venezuela-Aloe and Zanzibar-Aloe.                                                     

The original homeland of this species is Canary Islands. They will be also cultured in other dry areas for example on the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Europe, Africa and U.S.A. They are frost sensitive, but they can be drawn in the own garden and in the winter time they can get held in the house. The strong evacuative (curative) effect which is won of the leaf resin aloin is now a long time known (about 5000 years).
